What is OneKey Perps?
OneKey Perps is a perpetual futures desk built into the OneKey App, running as a front end for Hyperliquid. Your funds stay in your own wallet instead of an exchange account, and there is no identity check for eligible users. It covers 8 asset classes and 340+ markets β crypto, US and global equities, gold, crude oil, indices, forex and a small set of pre-IPO names.

Who is behind OneKey?
OneKey has been building hardware wallets since 2019 and keeps the entire stack open source β every line of firmware and app code is public and reproducible. The code has been audited by SlowMist, and the company holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
In spring 2026 OneKey closed a Series B at a $150 million valuation led by YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs, after earlier rounds involving Dragonfly, Ribbit Capital and Coinbase Ventures (source: OneKey, April 2026).
None of that says anything about whether your trade will work. It says the company is not a weekend project β which is a different question, and worth separating.
How is this different from trading perps on an exchange?
The difference is custody, and it is the whole point of the product.
| Exchange perps | OneKey Perps | |
|---|---|---|
| Where your funds sit | exchange account | your own wallet |
| Account creation | sign-up required | none β the wallet is the account |
| Identity check | usually mandatory | none for eligible users |
| Who matches your order | the exchange | Hyperliquid, on-chain |
| Order signing | platform-side | in-app, or on a hardware device if you pair one |
| Withdrawal | request and wait | a transfer you sign yourself |
One clarification that matters, because it is where people get hurt: these are perpetual contracts that track a price. Trading the Tesla or gold market gives you exposure to the price. It does not give you ownership of the underlying asset. If you want the mechanics in full, I broke them down separately in crypto perps explained.
What leverage does OneKey Perps allow?
Leverage is capped per asset class, and this is the number most write-ups get wrong by quoting a single headline figure.
| Asset class | Maximum leverage |
|---|---|
| Crypto | 40x |
| Precious metals | 25x |
| Commodities | 20x |
| Indices | up to 50x (SP500; lower on others) |
| Forex | up to 50x |
| US and global equities | varies by market β check in-app |
| Pre-IPO names | 3x |
Source: OneKey all-asset trading guide, checked 12 August 2026. OneKey notes the pair count and leverage limits change as the Hyperliquid protocol updates, so treat the table as a snapshot.
A ceiling is not a recommendation. At 40x, a 2.5% move against you closes the position. I ran my demo at 3x and would not go meaningfully above that on a live account.
I opened a real position β here is what actually happened
I funded a separate demo wallet and traded it on camera rather than describing it from screenshots.
Funding first: Perps settle in USDC, and the clean route is USDC on the Arbitrum network, which credits almost immediately. The minimum deposit is 5 USDC. Send any other asset and the app converts it for you, with a service fee attached (source: OneKey deposits documentation, checked 12 August 2026).
Then the trade itself: pick a market, choose long or short, set size and leverage, and β the part people skip β set take profit and stop loss before the position opens rather than after. Order types available are market, limit, stop market, stop limit, scale and TWAP, with BBO and mid-price shortcuts if you would rather not type a price.
On confirmation, the app can either sign in-app or push the request to a paired OneKey hardware wallet, in which case nothing executes until it is physically approved on the device. The hardware pairing is optional β the app works on its own β but for real size it is the setup I would want. If you are choosing a device, I compared the current options in the hardware wallet guide.
Once open, the screen shows entry price, size, margin and live P&L. The number I check before any of the others is the liquidation price. If price touches it, the position closes and the margin is gone. That is not a flaw in the product β that is the instrument.
Where does OneKey Perps not work?
Availability depends on your region. OneKey does not publish a country list, so the honest answer is that you have to check it where you actually live. What the documentation does describe is the mechanism: if the system identifies your access location as restricted, trading functions may be limited β you may be unable to open new positions, while still being able to view markets, manage existing positions, cancel orders, close positions and transfer assets out (regional availability, OneKey docs, checked 12 August 2026).
So "no KYC" is accurate, and "available to everyone" is not. Those are two different claims and they get blurred constantly.
Who is this actually for?
It fits you if you already trade perps, you dislike parking collateral on an exchange, and you want the option of hardware-level signing on every order.
It does not fit you if you are new to leverage. Self-custody removes counterparty risk. It removes none of the liquidation risk, and a wallet-native interface makes it just as easy to size a position badly as any exchange does.

Open OneKey Perps β 10% off trading feesFrequently asked
Is OneKey Perps its own exchange?+
No. It is a front end for Hyperliquid, the largest on-chain perpetuals venue. Liquidity and order matching happen on Hyperliquid; OneKey provides the interface and keeps custody on your side.
Do I need a OneKey hardware wallet to use it?+
No. The OneKey App works on its own and you can trade straight from it. Pairing a hardware device is optional β it adds physical confirmation of every signing request.
Does OneKey Perps require KYC?+
There is no identity check for eligible users, because the account is your wallet rather than a platform account. Eligibility still depends on your region, and restricted locations can be blocked from opening new positions.
What can I actually trade on it?+
8 asset classes and more than 340 markets as of August 2026 β crypto, US and global equities, precious metals, commodities including crude oil, indices, forex and a small set of pre-IPO names, trading around the clock.
How do I fund a Perps account?+
Deposit USDC on the Arbitrum network for near-instant credit, minimum 5 USDC. Other assets are converted for you automatically, with a service fee for the cross-chain exchange.
Can I lose more than I deposit?+
Your margin is what is at risk on a position β if price reaches the liquidation level, the position is closed and that margin is gone. Leverage decides how close that level sits to the current price, which is exactly why the caps in the table above are ceilings and not targets.
